JEDDAH —
The American International School of Jeddah (AISJ) has moved to a new, state-of- the-art campus.

With the capacity to accommodate up to 1,750 students, the new campus boasts 50,000 square meters of prime facilities.

Years of meticulous planning have culminated in an environment conducive to a first-class, 21st century American international learning experience.

The new campus include a standard-sized swimming pool and training pool, tennis courts, basketball courts, squash courts, soccer fields, indoor and outdoor tracks, a dance/aerobics studio, fitness gyms, a theater-style auditorium, large media centers, video production labs, fully equipped STEAM science labs, indoor and outdoor courtyards, strategically designed classrooms, and advanced technological capabilities, among others.

The previous campus was 40 years old, having been a home to the elementary program for the first 25 years and a home to the AISJ Pre-Kindergarten-Grade 12 program for the last 15 years. Due to deteriorating buildings and a growing student population, the time to change campuses had arrived.

“I have never been more excited for the future than I am today as we stand on the eve of our new beginning,” said Monti Hallberg, superintendent of AISJ.

During the initial planning stages of the new campus, administration, staff, parents, and students met frequently to share their ideas about what should be included in the new school. This process was particularly challenging due to AISJ’s dedication to developing the whole child. In addition to addressing the academic needs of their students, careful attention was given to their physical, psychological, social and emotional needs. Today, their brainstorming sessions and meticulous plans have finally paid off.

In line with the school’s vision statement, the new campus is sure to further distinguish AISJ as a learning community committed to excellence, innovation and collaboration.

“The possibilities that lie before us inspire me, and I hope you will join us on our journey of excellence, passion, learning, and fun,” Hallberg said while inviting the community to share in the excitement.
