DHL Express, the world’s leading international express services provider, has partnered with Vinculum Solutions, a leader in omnichannel retailing, to simplify cross border eCommerce solutions for online brands and retailers. This will enable local eCommerce retail providers to grow their businesses by extending their reach to overseas markets through a simple, dynamic and effective solution with the potential to build an international consumer base. Domestic, locally-based eCommerce online retailers will now easily be able to sell their goods globally through Vinculum’s flagship eRetail solutions and DHL’s world renowned network of cross border delivery services.

This partnership comes at a time when cross border ecommerce is on the rise, with reports indicating that the market is expected to grow three-fold by 2022. Brands and retailers therefore have a tremendous opportunity to scale up by establishing a partnership network with strong technology, local market knowledge and solid processes, to enable a faster and more efficient go-to market strategy.

DHL Express CEO, Middle East and North Africa, Nour Suliman, said: “The surge in ecommerce is driving brands to explore new markets, but many find their operations hindered due to challenges within the cross border delivery journey which is where DHL can provide effective solutions. Our partnership with Vinculum Solutions will make it simple for online retailers to enter new international markets with a fulfillment partner to support. This will be a tremendous boost for locally established companies looking to take their product offering global.”

Venkat Nott, Founder & CEO Vinculum Solutions, added: “We are pleased to partner with DHL Express to work with online retailers in the MENA region and help them tap into the cross border opportunity. This is a chance for global brands and retailers to enter new global markets, and for high growth brands and retailers in the UAE to sell internationally. We believe that this partnership will be tremendously beneficial for the business and ecommerce landscape in the MENA region, especially for SMEs.”

This strategic partnership will further establish DHL as a leader in cross border ecommerce across the MENA region. DHL has been a pioneer in the Middle East logistics industry for more than 35 years and currently has 261 service centers and service points across 16 countries in the region and employs over 4,400 employees across the Middle East. Through its innovation, service excellence and commitment, DHL continues to offer customers superior logistics solutions. — SG
