2,300 paramedic units and Golf carts in Grand Mosque

MAKKAH —
The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has provided as many as 2,325 paramedical units consisting of ambulance centers, human resources, cars, male and female volunteers and Golf carts in the Grand Mosque and its outside plazas to provide immediate medical services to the pilgrims and visitors.

According to local daily Al-Watan on Tuesday, the teams are extending medical services to the worshipers at the time of need.

The authority has 85 permanent ambulance centers in Makkah, a medical cadre of 1,365 people and 170 well-equipped ambulance cars to transport patients to the nearest hospitals in Makkah.

It has 700 men and women volunteers inside the Grand Mosque who are well-trained on ambulance services.

The authority has also provided sufficient number of Golf carts inside the Grand Mosque so that the ambulance teams reach the patients quickly.
