Malls and cinemas to open 24/7 during Eid holiday

RIYADH — A number of malls in Riyadh, Jeddah and Dammam will be open to public round the clock throughout the Eid Al-Fitr holiday, Saudi Press Agency quoted officials in charge of the “Eid season” at the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage (SCTH) as saying Friday.

This step is part of the activities and programs to be presented by the SCTH “Eid Season”.

It is being launched for the first time with a unified and comprehensive identity in all regions of the Kingdom under the umbrella of “Saudi Seasons”.

The objective is to infuse happiness to the Eid feast at the level of the individual, family, district and society.

Among the malls participating in the Eid Season activities and programs Kingdomwide are Al-Qasr, Gharnatah, and Riyadh Park malls, and Kingdom Center, apart from Red Sea Mall in Jeddah and Dareen Mall in Dammam.

As to the movie theatres, they include AMC Theatres in King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD) and Fox Cinemas in the malls having movie theaters.

Under the motto "اللمة والمحبة" “Coming together with love”, the “Eid Season” has approved a number of initiatives and programs that will contribute to enhancing positive interaction, in line with the requirements and aspirations of all segments of the society Kingdomwide.

They will also meet the various needs with the changes in the sleep schedules during this period specifically, apart from opening new spaces for happiness, in time and place, to accommodate all.

Among these initiatives, is the 24/7 work schedule in malls to enable the public to enjoy shopping, eating and drinking in restaurants and cafes, and going to the movies at the cinema theaters.

In toto, the aim is to enable the public (citizens, expatriates and holidaymakers) to spend the most beautiful times with family and friends. — SPA
