DUBAI — Justmop.com, the region’s most popular digital home cleaning app, announced today that it expanded into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Starting its operations in Jeddah before expanding to Riyadh later this month, the Dubai-based tech startup is leveraging the tremendous success it has experienced in its existing markets till date.

Having already established a strong presence in the UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait since its inception in 2015, this latest expansion comes at the back of raising its new round with participation from Istanbul-based Collective Spark and Kuwait-based Faith Capital Holding along with all existing investors.

“With the part-time home cleaning sector estimated at a sizable $1.2 billion, Saudi Arabia was always a target market for us from the offset. Our objective in the Kingdom is to disrupt the home cleaning sector, by digitalizing the industry completely in order to provide a more liquid and transparent end to end customer experience,” said Ali Cagatay Ozcan, CEO & co-founder of Justmop.

Prior to launching in KSA, Justmop conducted thorough market research over six months to fully understand the dynamics between the customers and the cleaning companies.

The research paid off as the pilot in Jeddah started off with a bang. Before its official launch, it is already Justmop’s second biggest city after Dubai and accounting for 15% of all orders.

Kerem Kuyucu, co-founder of Justmop said, “We are very thankful to have found incredibly supportive investors along our journey, who have shown confidence in our concept from the start. Our investors include Collective Spark, Faith Capital Holding, OAK Capital, VentureFriends, and 500 Startups.”

“Their trust and support have enabled us to accelerate the growth of Jusmop and transition very quickly from an online marketplace to a regional super app for all things cleaning related,” he added.

Atil Erken, general partner at Collective Spark, commented, “We have been following Justmop's progress for the last five years and were impressed by how they scaled the business in a healthy fashion having successfully incorporated the learnings to the business model.

“We believe co-founders Kerem and Cagatay are an investor's dream team, covering all critical aspects of a venture's success both on the supply and demand sides. We will be thrilled to bring our marketplace expertise to the table, especially with respect to growth drivers, unit economics and international expansion.”

To support their expansion, the Justmop team have also just launched a training center led by a 5-star hospitality expert, where all cleaners undertake a stringent training program for a full week to ensure that the Justmop standards are met every time.

Justmop is now offering its transparent and professional home cleaning booking process at the click of a button in Jeddah, starting at SR32 per hour. — SG
