DHAHRAN — EcoDem, an Italian provider of environmental services, has entered a partnership agreement with Saudi Drill Company.
Under this agreement, EcoDem’s decommissioning, reclamation, remediation, sludge treatment and metal recovery from waste are solutions and services that will be provided in the Kingdom by the joint venture company.
Saudi Drill chairman Megren Al Khaldi commented: “Saudi Drill vision is to establish its presence in Saudi Arabia in line with Saudi Aramco IKTVA’s aims to attract successful businesses and create job opportunities. The agreement is expected to support EcoDem’s international expansion and strengthen its footprint in Saudi Arabia and the region by providing state-of-the-art technologies to solve environmental-related challenges and meet clients’ expectations.
Commenting on the partnership, EcoDem CEO Raimondo Imbro said, “This joint venture will introduce a unique technology that recovers heavy metals from wastes of Soot Ash and Metal Cake in the Kingdom. This will create significant jobs and technology in the country as well as recycle valuable waste.” — SG
