Manama -- The Kingdom of Bahrain has requested that Qatari soldiers to leave their territories within 48 hours, a source has confirmed.

According to the source, Bahraini authorities made it clear to the commander in charge of the US base in Bahrain that Qatari soldiers working there are expected to leave within 48 hours.

Bahrain has an American base where the Central Command of the Naval Forces, including military personnel from countries in the region, carry out war-related missions against extremis organizations in the Middle East.

The news comes just days after Bahrain released audio of phone conversations between a Qatari royal adviser and a designated Bahraini terrorist, both of whom conspired to manipulate unrest in Manama back in 2011. -- Al Arabiya English
