SAYED ZIAUDDIN JEDDAH — Lothers defeated Zultrack, Nestle Milo had the upperhand against ALS Warriors, Zultec dominated Al-Safri and Waqas Malik prevailed over Stallions to book their births in the last four of the SCC Premier Challenge Cup 2017 sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and managed by WPCA. In the first quarterfinal, Lothers defeated Zultrack by 124 runs. Lothers CC plundered 225-3. Moazzam Shoukat hammered 70 in 36 balls with 10 fours and 2 sixes. He added 126 runs in 61 balls for the opening stand with Ibrarul Haq (47). Abdulwahid remained unbeaten on 57 off 24 balls. Samiullah Khan was unbeaten on 21. Qaim Khan took 2-33. Zultrack, in reply, was bowled out for 101. It lost wickets at frequent intervals to be half the side back in the pavilion by 68. Qaim Khan top scored with 29, Kashif made 12 and Abdulrehman 16. Ibrarul Haq grabbed 3-36, Samiullah Khan 2-18, Inaam Khan 2-6, Zia 1-19 and Umair 1-20. Umpires: Arshad Chohan and Saleem. Zultec downed Al-Safri by 23 runs. Zultec piled up 191-7. Umair Khan hit 49 in 26 balls as he added 92 in 50 balls for the first wicket with Amir Sajjad (44 in 28 balls). Javed Iqbal remained unbeaten on 43 off 23 balls and Shahbaz Rasheed hit 20. Amir grabbed 4-31 and Waseeq Sherwani 3-36. Al-Safri was restricted 168-7. Rehan Mughal stroked 44 in 20 balls, Hasanat Ahmed hit 23, Aftab Malik 14 and Manjeet Kumar remained unbeaten on 37. Wajahat Shah took 2-28, Zeeshan 2-34, Shahbaz Rasheed 1-28 and Abu Huraira 1-28. Umpires: Rahat Ali and 2. Ahmed Rafeeq. Nestle Milo edged ALS Warriors by 8 runs. Nestle Milo produced 185-9. Malik Naeem stroked 16, Shafeeq 15, Fayyaz 26, Imran Sarwar 26, Babar 31, Ihsan 35 and Bilal Malik 16. Shoaib Ali took 3-36, Gulam Mustafa 3-46, Safiuddin 2-39 and Haider 1-24. ALS Warriors, in reply, fell short by just 8 runs as it was restricted to 177-8. Mohammed Khan stroked 46 in 21 balls. He added 62 with Humayun Khan (47 in 33 balls). Later, Abdullah Essa tried his best making 35. Gulam Mustafa hit 17. Imran Yusuf grabbed 3-32, Bilal Malik 2-17, Sher Bahadur 1-24, Adalat 1-30 and Ihsan Noni 1-31. Umpires: Kashif Mirza and Mamoon Rafeeq. Waqas Malik CC thrashed Stallions by 6 wickets. Stallions posted 141-7. Azeem scored 24, Hassan Ali 28, Aqeel 35 and Rabnawaaz 20. Waqas took 2-27, Fiaz 1-26, Maqbool 1-26, Dani 1-21 and Rana Haroon 1-24. Waqas Malik CC reached 142-4 in 92 balls. Usman hit 40 in 28 balls, Haroon Rana 44 in 23 balls, Shahid 24 not out and Rashid 17 not out. A wicket each was taken by Hassan Ali, Jawad, Waqas and Talha. Umpires: Imran Mirza and Babu Tinku.
