By Syed Hashmath U.H. JEDDAH — The Jeddah Premier League Season XI Sultan Champions Trophy kicked off with 48 teams with a cup launching ceremony held at Sultan Restaurant. Osman Bin Mahfooz, Founder & President of Saudi Indian Sports Cultural Forum (SISCF), was the chief guest of the event. The tournament, to be played on a league-cum-knockout basis, is held under auspices of Saudi Cricket Centre and supported by SISCF. Sponsors Sultan Restaurant Managing Director Idrees Siddiqa assured in his speech that he is always there for sports, and cricket is one of his favorite game. Inam of Edgetek was declared the man of the match for his all round performance of (34 runs and 2 wickets). FCT humbled Prime XI by 35 runs. FCT put on 145-6. In reply, Prime XI made 111-7 in 15 overs. FCT Mujahed was declared the man of the match for his 61 (4 x 2, 6 x 6). Yorkshire thumped Bhatkal Cricket Association by 44 runs. Yorkshire scored 107-8. Bhatkal Cricket Association scored 63 in 9.5 overs. Yorkshire Naser Jr. was declared man of the match for 22 runs and 1 wicket. UFCC beat Zehran CC by 28 runs. UFCC posted 139-6. Maqbool of Hyderabad Hawks was declared the Man of the Match. He hit 61 runs off 35 balls. Enviro CC edged Axiom CC by 4 wickets. Axiom CC scored 125-8 in 15 overs. In reply, Enviro CC managed to score 126-6 in 14.2 overs. Sajid bagged man of the match award for his 32 runs. Azizia Boys beat Salama Falcons, Azizia Boys scored 140-4. In response, Salama Falcons were skittled for 61 in 11 overs. Man of the match Rana notched 54 runs and claimed 2 wickets. AD Sunrisers Hyderabad lost to Blaster XI. AD Sunrisers Hyderabad scored 119-9 in 15 overs. In response, Blaster XI scored 120-3 in 10 overs. Man of the match Riyaz notched 21 runs and claimed 3 wickets. Azizia XI scored 141-7 in 15 overs and Eleven Brothers, in reply, scored 146-4 in 15 overs. Afroz was declared the man of the match. He hit 49 runs and took 1 wicket.
