JEDDAH — Ziaul Haque of MHA hit a record 187 runs to hand his side a huge victory, while Kashmir-XI beat Reel & Rom in the fourth week matches of Division-I Reel & Rom Cup Morning League which is sponsored by Franke’s Reel & Rom and organized by Jeddah Cricket Association (JCA).



MHA thrashed Al Khulais-XI by 219 runs. MHA, batting first, piled up 349 runs for the loss of 2 wickets. Zaiul Haq hammered the highest individual score of the league. He hit a record 187 off only 52 balls. His innings was decorated with 19 sixes and 12 fours. His opening partner Abdul Rahman hit 47 off 27 balls, a record 265-run partnership. Others who contributed were: Khalid 36 not out, Sher 27, while there were 59 extras. Khalil claimed 1-63 and Ateeq 1-45 for Al Khulais-XI.



In reply, Al Khulais panicked and was bundled out for a paltry 130 runs. Javed 37 off 12 balls (7x4 and 1x6) and Majid Bhatti 28 off 11 balls (3x4 and 2x6) were the only batsmen to score into double figures. Ehtisham bagged 4-10, while skipper Riaz Afridi had 2-24 and Khalid 2-23.



Kashmir-X1 beat Reel & Rom by 2 wickets. Reel & Rom was bowled out for 150. Imran and Qasim hit 23 each while Irfan added 18 and Waheed 17. None of the others reached double figures. Sami picked 4-20, Mukhtar 2-26 and Nadeem 2-12. In reply, Kashmir-X1 reached 152 for the loss of 8 wickets. Gowhar scored 37 off 29 balls (7x4), Anas 50 not out off 31 balls (6x4 & 1x6), Nadeem 12. Bilal took 6-16 and Imran 1-18.
