CAIRO — Amr Diab proudly boasts of seven World Music Awards, which he has received over a period of 16 years.
Diab, who held a photo shoot at his office here, received his first award for his album and song “Habeebi Ya Nour Al Ain”, followed by a second honor in 2002 that was presented by the ruler of Monaco Prince Albert for the album “Akthar Wahed” and the song “Habeebi wala Ala Balo,” Albawaba reported.
The third award also came in Monaco in 2007 for the album “Wayah” alongside international stars like Celine Dion, Akon, and Rihanna.
The Egyptian superstar has been dubbed “The Messi of Singing” by his fans. — SG
