RIYADH — Mueen Anwar, the community welfare attaché at the Pakistan Embassy here, died of a sudden cardiac arrest on Wednesday in Dubai. He was 44.

 

Mueen was vacationing in Dubai with his wife and three children where he suffered the fatal heart attack. 

 

Mueen joined the Pakistan Embassy as a Community Welfare Attaché in 2012 and was considered a very competent officer.? During his tenure he successfully managed the challenge of settling thousands of illegal Pakistanis in Saudi Arabia during the amnesty period given by the Saudi government. 

 

Thousands of Pakistanis across the Kingdom including his colleagues in the embassy, his friends, several political, regional, social, and literary organizations felt deep sorrow on the sad demise of the young officer. The community will fondly remember him.

 

Pakistanis across the Kingdom expressed their grief and condolences through social media and all available sources.
