TAIF — A Saudi man divorced his wife for staying up late and not going to bed earlier. The man, who is on a student scholarship in the US, complained to his wife about her staying up late and sleeping all day. After two months of putting up with her offbeat sleeping hours, he decided to divorce her and kicked her out of the house. The wife spent 24 hours roaming the streets as she cannot speak English. She eventually approached another Saudi neighbor who welcomed her into her home and allowed her to call her father in the Kingdom. The woman’s father attempted to contact the husband and reconcile the two but the man refused to listen and insisted he wanted a divorce.
