NEW YORK — Right-winger Vladimir Tarasenko opened the scoring early in the second period and snapped a 2-2 tie in the third, to power the St. Louis Blues to a 4-2 victory over the Winnipeg Jets.
Veteran center Scottie Upshall and defenseman Carl Gunnarsson also scored for St. Louis.
Left-winger Mathieu Perreault and right-winger Drew Stafford scored for the Jets.
Devils 2, Rangers 1 (OT): Right-winger Lee Stempniak scored with 1:53 remaining in overtime to give the New Jersey Devils a 2-1 victory against the New York Rangers and their first win of the season.
Rangers defenseman Ryan McDonagh nearly won it 23 seconds into overtime, but Devils defenseman Andy Greene tied up his stick with the puck sitting near the goal line.
Rangers’ center Derek Stepan also rang a shot off the crossbar before Stempniak won it for the Devils.
Center Adam Henrique also scored for the Devils, who received 26 saves from goaltender Cory Schneider.
Rangers’ goaltender Henrik Lundqvist made 22 saves.
Ducks 4, Wild 1: The Anaheim Ducks posted a 4-1 win over the Minnesota Wild, snapping a goalless streak that had lasted since the second game of the season.
Cam Fowler scored the Ducks’ first goal in 173 minutes midway through the first period while Rickard Rakell, Mike Santorelli and Hampus Lindholm also scored.
Before Fowler’s goal, the Ducks had scored just once this season, in the second game against Vancouver on Oct. 12 when they scored at 1:56 of the second period and had been held scoreless in their next two games.
Anaheim goaltender Anton Khudobin made 34 saves.
Oilers 2, Canucks 1 (OT): Left-winger Lauri Korpikoski scored in overtime to give the Edmonton Oilers a 2-1 victory over the Vancouver Canucks.
Korpikoski scored after taking a pass from defenseman Andrej Sekera. Canucks goaltender Ryan Miller initially stopped the shot, but the puck squirted through his pads.
Right-winger Nail Yakupov also scored for Edmonton, while defenseman Matt Bartkowski scored for Vancouver.
Kings 2, Avalanche 1: Center Tyler Toffoli scored the game-winning goal in the second period as the Los Angeles Kings defeated the Colorado Avalanche.
Right-winger Marian Gaborik also scored for Los Angeles while goaltender Jonathan Quick stopped 22 of 23 shots.
Reto Berra saved 38 of 40 attempts for the Avalanche. — Reuters
