The SCC under its Strategic Development Program 2015-2019 organized two such courses in Dammam and Jazan recently. Twenty-four umpires representing EPCA (Eastern Province Cricket Association) participated in a 3-day extensive course in Dammam. While another 24 umpires from JRCA (Jazan Region Cricket Association) participated in the course in Jazan. The course was conducted by Khalil Kazi, international umpire and course educator, and assisted by Dr. Sayed Ziauddin and Kashif Mirza. The 48 umpires went through three-day intensive compact course highlighting the Cricket Laws and their application and implementation on the ground during the match. The explanations and other studies were conducted through slides and video demonstrations. — By Dr. Sayed Ziauddin
