DAMMAM — Continuing with the series of workshops and lectures covering the six core values of the organization, HADAF (Human Abilities Development & Advancement Fund) recently organized a workshop covering the personality development and financial literacy in Dammam.
Vice President and Member of the Core Council Mohammed Asgharuddin presented a lecture on Financial Literacy. He laid stress on the importance of understanding financial matters and doing financial planning both from the short term and long-term perspectives.
A greater part of his talk covered the need for savings to ensure continued sustenance and ability to meet expenses during difficult times and during the retired lifetime. He also advised the attendees to avoid falling into the traps of promotions and offers and end up buying things which they do not actually need.
The founder of HADAF, Nayeem Javed, continued the series of personality development lectures. He told the audience that life is not mere a discovery; it is a creation and the human race has been bestowed with extraordinary abilities and capacities. Using different allegories and examples, he encouraged the audience to take control of that element of brain which distinguishes right from wrong, good from bad and positivity from negativity.
He used the examples and the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) in urging the audience to remain steadfast and focused. The workshop was followed by a question answer session. HADAF is a non-profit organization engaged in a variety of educational and social activities in the Kingdom and has helped hundreds of individuals in different respects.
