JEDDAH — Forty students enrolled in the Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD) Corporate MBA program have successfully made it to the stage and received their diplomas. Moustafa Al Zuabi from the ICD Corporate MBA, among the 270 students, won The Best IE Student Award for all the 11 programs.
The ICD Corporate MBA program was established in 2014 with the intention to serve the ICD mandate of developing the private sector, both by developing ICD staff to better deliver its mandate and other private sector professionals by giving them access to best in class business education and credentials.
The program is a 15 months program that included 10 face to face modules 5 days each; 6 modules in Jeddah, two modules in IE (Madrid), one module in Harvard (Boston), and one module in UC Berkeley (San Francisco). Graduation project is an entrepreneurial project business plan.
The ICD Corporate MBA, Islamic Finance Talent Development Program (IFTDP), and Masters in Islamic Finance and Leadership are all initiatives that ICD has designed and implemented as part of the ICD belief that premium education and well-trained professionals are key components to drive development in its member countries private sector.
“Financing for long has been used as a tool toward private sector development without much success, yet having properly trained and groomed human capital is the cornerstone for successful private sector development. In ICD we are channeling much of our efforts to human capital development and the ICD Corporate MBA is only one of our initiatives in this domain,” said Dr. Abdelaziz Mustafa, Advisor to the CEO of ICD. — SG
