Death anniversary of ANP leader observed

A. Tanoli RIYADH — The third anniversary of Awami National Party`s stalwart and former senior minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Bashir Ahmed Bilor was observed here. To pay glowing tribute to the slain leader of party, ANP Saudi Arabia had arranged condolence reference at a local hall, and large number of party members attended the reference. Speaking on the occasion, ANP Saudi Arabia President Gul Zameen Khan paid glowing tributes to Bashir Bilour for his firm stand against terrorism. He said Bilour was not only a good political leader but also a brave, kind-hearted person who had sacrificed his life for the people; despite belonging to a rich family, he was very close to his poor people, especially his party workers. Party Office bearers Dr. Muzamil Khan, Rustam Khan, Hayat Khan, Zahoor Khan, Behram Khan, Amjad Khan, Inam Khan, Sher Bhadar, Rasool Khan and others also addressed the gathering. The speakers lauded the sacrifice of Bilour, and they said that today, uncertainty prevails throughout the country and especially the Pashtun area is being wrecked through conspiracy. Pashtun area has nothing to do with terrorism, and people here follow the teaching of Islam and Islam is a religion of peace. It is time that we follow the teaching of Khan Ghafar Khan (Bacha Khan) and strengthens the party under the leadership of Asfandyar Wali Khan. The program started with recitation of verses from Holy Qur’an and was ably conducted by Sabaz Ali Khan, party secretary general. In conclusion, a unanimous resolution was passed demanding that the government of Pakistan start action against the terrorist organizations in Punjab without differentiating them into “good” and “bad” Taliban. The resolution called for work on China Pakistan Economic Corridor CPEC shouldn’t be delayed and implemented according to its original plan, and all mega projects which had started in ANP government era be completed without any delay and stress the temptation of grievances of small province.
