Saudi Gazette report JEDDAH – The General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) sent out official notifications to all departments asking them to finalize the names of employees who will be transferred to the body's new headquarters in Riyadh. The process of the transfer of employees will take place in three phases, Makkah newspaper reported quoting a Civil Aviation source, who did not specify the date for each phase. The source said managers did not provide clear details that show rights of staff. He also pointed out that GACA did not specify the number of employees who will be transferred in each phase. The source said a number of department heads resented incomplete information they received from GACA with regard to the transfer process, indicating that it may create problems among the employees. He pointed out that according to Article 58 of the labor law, it is not permissible for the employer to transfer any employee from the place of his original employment to another location without his written consent. According to the system, the employer could transfer their employees, under extreme situations, to different locations for a period of time not exceeding 30 days in one year, without requiring the approval of the employee. The source pointed out that the authority would rent a new building for the transfer of staff after equipping it to finish the construction of the new Civil Aviation building in Riyadh.
