RIYADH — The directorate general of drugs in Riyadh was able to nab a young man who was trafficking narcotics with the help of four accomplices through the Snapchat application.

The directorate's department of social media has spotted a suspicious account named "Action", which was offering drugs for sale.

Investigations revealed that five people were administering the account, including a ring leader who was the mastermind of the operation.

The directorate said when the ring leader was apprehended, a large quantity of narcotics consisting of hashish, Captagon and Xanax tablets and a gun were found with him.

It said all his accomplices were arrested in less than 48 hours from different locations in Riyadh.
