Samsung to hold blood donation drive

  JUBAIL — Samsung Saudi Arabia, in cooperation with Jubail Central Hospital, has scheduled a blood donation campaign to raise awareness among residents of different nationalities in the city. “The process of blood donation is simple and safe. Only small groups have something special to give. Different groups of people have different blood types and therefore it is important that every group participates in blood donation programs. Remember you can save the life of a friend, a neighbor or even a family member by donating a very rare blood type,” the company said in a message. Because blood can be stored for a limited period of time, regular donations by a sufficient number of healthy people is needed to ensure safe blood is available whenever and wherever it is needed, it added.
