Visit to NEC enlightens top IT students of KAU

The social responsibility of NEC, a century-old technology giant, encouraged Najia AbdulLatif Jameel Co. for Technology (NajTech) and KAU arrange an exceptional trip for the elite students to visit NEC in Japan. The initiative has advanced the students’ knowledge about the link between technology and its application in various fields that positively empower the student and scholars with a world-class vision. A week-long educational trip to Japan enlightened the top IT students of KAU – Jeddah of the cultural shift of digital technology. The tour consists of visits to the top datacenters & manufacturing facilities of NEC in Japan. The students also had a wonderful opportunity to meet senior managerial and technical officials at NEC head quarter, NEC Super Tower in Shiba district, Tokyo. NEC arranged a visit to “University of Tokyo” – a top-notch Research Institution of Japan. This trip has definitely given the Saudi students an opportunity to further learn the traits of how to aim and serve the future Information Society in a broader perspective. The Saudi students have always proved to be eager to work in a cross-cultural environment to illustrate quality-base will indeed add a further value to our students’ work style capabilities in a collaborative manner for their future field. — SG
