Saudi Gazette report GENEVA — The United Nations Human Rights Council has lauded the positive role of Prince Muhammad Bin Naif Center for Advice and Care in combating terrorism and rehabilitation of people with extremist ideologies and their reintegration into society, Saudi Press Agency reported Thursday. This came in a resolution accredited by the council at the conclusion of its 31st session in Geneva. In the fight against terrorism, the council urged all states to respect and protect human rights and to take appropriate measures to duly investigate the incitement, preparation or commissioning of acts of terrorism, and to bring to justice those engaged in such acts. The resolution, supported and provided by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco, Yemen and Palestine, called upon states to ban terrorist groups that establish platforms for spreading and promoting terrorist ideologies. The council also urged states to adopt rehabilitation and reintegration strategies for repatriating foreign terrorist fighters.
