The first of the second-century Aston Martins was revealed to the Saudi public. The first of the publicly available ’second century’ Aston Martins was launched at an exclusive Salon Privée event at the newly established Hajji Hussein Alireza showroom on Tahlia Street in Riyadh.

“This next generation Aston Martin celebrates the long history of Aston Martin and sets down the marker for the company’s vision for the next hundred years,” said Neil Slade, Regional Sales Manger for Aston Martin.

British Ambassador Simon Collins was equally enthusiastic saying that the brand really proved that technical excellence and engineering skills were very much alive and well.

The DB11, reflects design clues from the stunningly beautiful DB10, of which but two remain after eight were wrecked in the making of the James Bond film ‘Spectre’.

Slade noted that Aston Martin were changing gear markedly, planning to bring new models to the market every nine months for the next few years. Already at the ‘proof of concept’ stage is an electric Rapide model and a link up with Red Bull Formula 1 that will augment Aston Martin’s already very vigorous development program.

In the pipeline are a new generation of engines and the development of the road-going version of the Vulcan, Aston Martin’s ‘track-only’ car.

Slade said that the Tahlia Street showroom is rated in the top five out of over 140 Aston Martin showrooms in the world — a demonstration of the commitment of the Hajji Hussein Alireza company and Aston Martin to the future.

Overnight, the car was moved to the American Express World Luxury Expo in Riyadh where it was revealed to the invitees to the event late on Wednesday
