JEDDAH — MCH Premier scored a record 312-run win over Pak Shaheen in the fifth week of action in the Ace Premier League, which is sponsored by Ace Travel and Tours and organized by JCA here.
MCH Premier put on the biggest total of the current league scoring 362 for 3 in 20 overs. Opener Qamar Awan (65 in 18 balls) and Irfan (112 off 36 balls) hit 97 in 5 overs for the opening wicket. Kashif further dented the bowlers’ confidence slogging them to all corners scoring an unbeaten 122 off 50 balls with 9 sixes and 10 fours. Shahbaz added 31. Pak Shaheen was bundled out for a paltry 50 thanks to young pacer Mohamed Imran, who took his carrier-best figures of 8-17 in 4 overs including a hat trick.
ALJ Toshiba downed MB Stars by 3 wickets. MB Stars was bundled out for 147 with Ateeq Mansha scoring 25 and Aamir 53. Bilal claimed 4-24 and Aftab 3-39. In reply, Toshiba lost wickets early, but still managed to reach 148 for 7 in 14.5 overs to register its first win in the league with Basheer and Bilal among the runs. Moazam Virk took 4-28.
Ace Travel thrashed MCH Blazers by 67 runs. Ace scored 270 for 8 in 20 overs with Abdul Wahid (103 in 38 balls) and Moazzam (67 in 30 balls) making 161 for the opening wicket partnership. Asghar added 25. Asim picked up 3-60 and Adnan 2-43.
In reply, MCH Blazers was bowled out for 203 with notable contributions from Amir Wahla (51), Amir Mohamed (41), Adnan (35), Rizwan (23) and Adnan Jr. (22). Moazzam put in a fine all-round performance as he went on to take 5 for 28. Faheem Pasha and Khalid bagged 2 wickets each for 38 and 34, respectively.
Pepsi-Deccan Knights thumped ARM United by 6 wickets. ARM scored 161 for 8 in 18 overs thanks to Arshad (33), Shani (42 not out) and Atta (40). Hyder scalped 3-20 and Ather 2-39. Pepsi was home (164) for the loss of 4 wickets in 12 overs. Opener Afroz broke loose from the first ball scoring a hurricane 64 off 26 balls. After his departure Abdul Quddus scored a patient 33, while Akram remained unbeaten on 34.
