RIYADH — The Philippine Embassy and the Philippine Overseas Labor Office (POLO) have recently launched a Joint Assistance Desk (JAD). The desk aims to respond to requests for help from Overseas Filipinos based in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on assistance to nationals (ATN) and labor concerns.
ATN concerns relate to assistance for criminal cases, immigration issues, detention, repatriation of bodies and road traffic accident cases.
Labor concerns include employment-related concerns such as medical referrals, non-performance of family obligations, runaways, death benefits, ends-of-service benefits, insurance claims and other employment-related benefits.
The activation of the JAD is part of a series of ongoing efforts to improve the capacity of the Embassy and POLO for the efficient delivery of services to Overseas Filipinos in need of assistance. Other improvements to the Embassy and POLO’s services shall be announced to the public shortly.
