Abdullah Al-Qamshah Okaz/Saudi Gazette BISHA — A Sudanese shepherd, grazing sheep in a farm to the east of Bisha, has foiled an attempt of a terrorist to run away from the security forces surrounding the village by hiding in a mountain. The terrorist was one of two who were killed by the security forces on Friday. The terrorist, who was on the run, entered the farm and tried to persuade the shepherd with money to give him the keys of a car that was parked in the farm, supply him with water and clothes and allow him to use his mobile phone. The shepherd turned down the offer and informed the owner of the farm about the incident and asked him to come immediately so that they could confront the armed terrorist together. The owner, Mohammed Mubarak Al-Shahrani, said after receiving the telephone call from the shepherd, he and three of his sons went to the farm and found the armed man still there. "The armed man pointed his gun at us and one of my sons informed the security forces about him," he said. Shahrani said when a security patrol arrived at the scene, the armed man started firing randomly against all people in the farm, including the security men. "Thanks to Allah, none of us was hurt," he added. Shahrani said the armed man ran away and tried to hide himself in one of the mountains, which was about 1,000 meters away from the farm. "The emergency forces exchanged fire with the renegade and immediately killed him," he said. Maj. Gen. Mansour Al-Turki, the Interior Ministry spokesman, announced the death of two terrorists on Saturday. He said the two terrorists were driving two vehicles — one of them booby-trapped in the Bisha region — but they got off the vehicles in a bid to escape when emergency forces surrounded them. The spokesman said one of the terrorists tried to hide in a mountain while the other ran to a nearby farm but they were both ultimately killed.
