Nazar Guys lifts JPL-Asaduddin Owaisi Cup

JEDDAH — Nazar Guys thrashed IOE by 5 wickets in the final to claim Jeddah Premier League (JPL) Asaduddin Owaisi Cup 2016 here. Batting first, IOE was bowled out for 75 in 13.2 overs. In reply, Nazar Guys chased the target (76) for the loss of 5 wickets in 10.4 overs. Mudassir was awarded the Man of the Match for his 12 runs and 3 wickets. More than 600 members and guests attended the closing ceremony of the tournament. Dream India Group, Mumtaz Sports Academy and Al-Wafaq Al-Shaheqa Group for plumbing materials were the official sponsors for the tournament. B-Cola, Halwani Brothers and Khind Electronics were the co-sponsors of the event, which was organized by JPL under the umbrella of JCA. Fifty clubs participated in the tournament, which started on Jan. 1, and witnessed 132 matches. The matches took place in Sulaimania district. — SG
