JEDDAH — The University of Business and Technology (UBT) hosted the first exhibition for women graduates from its College of Advertising.
The ceremony on Wednesday showcased the work of 18 students with Bachelor's degree in Creative Design and Advertising Communication.

The students presented several creative projects and awareness campaigns, including, "Dot", which is the name of a detox juice that a graduate is planning to have it in the market soon. She has produced four flavors of the detox product.

Another graduation project was developed by Sura Al-Behairi, who focused on the field of wedding planning. The creative designer decided to develop an app for brides to plan their wedding and perceive the variety of prices that may not be published to the public yet through this app.

"The SKWAD" is a social media awareness campaign presented by Sarah Al-Somali. She created five Saudi characters to present the reality of people using social media in the Kingdom.

She said these five friends are about to make the viewers' virtual life peeve free through a simple viral hashtag that will help people that are using social media and do not like certain actions express their feelings without being rude. #Mndjk is the name of the hashtag , where people can attack anyone with an annoying habit.

One of the projects focused on the idea of having an application for the UBT and presented several creative ideas to make it easy for people to know more about the university.

During the exhibition, Vice Dean of Jeddah College of Advertising Haneen Mohammad Shoaib described how proud she was of the hard work of the faculty in educating these group of students and how happy she was to have the first graduated batch that is capable of being part of the Saudi workforce.

During the ceremony, the founder and the chairman of the Board of Trustees of UBT, Abdullah Dahlan, announced that Jeddah College of Advertising for females will have a new separate building in Al-Shatie district and they are planning to finish it in two years.

There are more than 550 female students in the college currently and the college expects more female students to enroll in the coming next years.
