Assad must go: Jubeir

BERLIN – Minister of Foreign Affairs Adel Al-Jubeir said he discussed with German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier the situation in Syria. Al-Jubeir stressed that there is no future for Bashar Al-Assad in Syria. He must leave so that there is peace in that country. He confirmed that the Bashar Al-Assad regime is an obstacle preventing humanitarian aid from reaching the Syrian people. Al-Jubeir described the relations between the Kingdom and Germany as distinctive. He looked forward to developing and boosting these relations at all levels. This came in a joint press conference held by Adel Jubeir and German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier in Berlin following their talks Wednesday, SPA reported.
