Shahd Alhamdan Saudi Gazette JEDDAH - Alaa and Hala fashion, a Saudi brand that specializes in abayas, wedding dresses and clothes, launched its 2016-2017 collection on Saturday evening under the title ‘Beats’. The new fashion line is inspired by R&B and hip-hop music. With its hip-hop flare, the designers seek to portray the choices women have when they walk with the beat and rhythm of daily life by giving them a uniquely stylish and energetic style. Hala Ajeeb, one of the designers, spoke about the brand's Made In KSA label. “This year, we have abayas, night dresses and casual clothing that is proudly made in Saudi Arabia. Our line for this year also includes some imported perfumes and make-up,” she said. During the launch, which was held at Cavalli Caffe Jeddah, the two Saudi designers declared that they are planning to inaugurate their new fashion house soon. Co-owner and designer Alaa Harazi said they are focusing on employing Saudi women because they believe in their capabilities. Saudi hip-hop artist Qusai Kheder hosted the event and also offered his support for the new collection.
