In a gesture of appreciation and gratitude, the Minister of Transport Sulaiman Alhamdan honored a number of Saudi engineers involved in the Terminal 5 project at King Khalid International Airport (KKIA) in Riyadh, in the presence of their parents. In his speech, he mentioned that he was proud of those young engineers and appreciated the fact that this project was run by a hard working Saudi youth, loyal to their religion and home country. He stressed that he was proud of them for long hours spent even during their vacation time to make sure that the project is completed on time and for their keenness on the success of the project, which is a major addition to Riyadh and will contribute in raising the capacity of the airport. He also thanks the parents of the engineers involved, and to their spouses for providing the appropriate atmosphere and enduring the long hours those engineers spent on the project. Alhamdan presented the engineers and their parents with letters of appreciation and commemorative gifts. The partial operation of Terminal 5 has begun last Sunday with five destinations that will increase gradually until a full transfer from Terminal 3 is completed. — SG
