JEDDAH – Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman attended the football match for the King's Cup final for the current sports season, which was held Sunday evening at King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz International Stadium in Jeddah between the two teams Al-Ahli and Al-Nasr.
Upon arrival at the venue, he was received by a number of princes and officials and was greeted by the spectators.
Following the playing of the national anthem and performing of an operetta, the second half of the match began.
At half-time, Al-Ahli was leading 1-0 with the single goal scored by Omar Al-Somah at the 24th minute. At full-time, the two teams were in a 1-1 draw, with Al-Nasr’s Ahmed Al-Fraidi having scored one goal in the second half at the 61st minute.
Omar Al-Somah scored another goal for Al-Ahli at the 115th minute. This brought the final score to a 2-1 win for Al-Ahli, who were crowned the champions.
