EFFECTIVE this July, Riyadh will enjoy a direct connection with Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, thanks to a new route by Czech Airlines, the Czech Republic’s flag carrier. The Riyadh – Prague route is not only historically the first direct air connection between the two capitals, but also between Saudi Arabia and the Czech Republic. The first flight on the route to Prague will be operated by Czech Airlines on Wednesday (July 6).

For now, the Czech Airlines’ new service connecting Riyadh and Prague will be operated on
a seasonal basis, from July 6 to September 28, 2016, with two return frequencies a week. Departures from Riyadh are scheduled on Wednesdays and Sundays in the early morning hours (at 3:30 a.m.) with arrivals at Václav Havel Airport Prague at 8:35 a.m., local time. Return flights from Prague will be operated on Tuesdays and Saturdays at 7:00 p.m., arriving at King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh shortly after midnight the next day (at 1:55 a.m.).

Czech Airlines will operate the Riyadh – Prague flights with modern Airbus A319 aircraft offering 144 seats in the Business and Economy Class configuration. Flights between Riyadh and Prague will take 6 hours and 5 minutes, while flights in the reverse direction will be 10 minutes shorter.

One-way tickets from Riyadh to Prague start at SR1,641, while return tickets can be purchased from SR3,329 including all charges. The cheapest Economy Class ticket prices include the free transport of one checked-in piece of baggage of up to 23 kg and two in-flight refreshment services.
