JEDDAH - An official source at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the terrorist attack on the Jordanian intelligence office at the Al-Buqaa Palestinian refugee camp, north of the capital Amman, which claimed the lives of five intelligence officials. Saudi Arabia pledged its full support for Jordan in countering all forms of terrorism. The source also offered condolences to the families of the victims as well as to the Jordanian government and people, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) denounced Monday’s attack on the Al-Buqaa camp.

In a statement, Secretary General of the OIC Iyad Madani described the act as terrorist crime contradicting all humanitarian values and principles. He expressed confidence in the Jordanian security authorities’ ability to bring the culprits to justice. The Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Secretary General Dr. Abdullatif Al-Zayani also strongly slammed the armed attack.
