Panda Retail runs annual ‘Charity Caravan’ program

Panda Retail Company has recently launched the ‘Charity Caravan’ campaign, which is run for the 16th consecutive year, aiming to lend a helping hand to all needy families Kingdom-wide during the holy month of Ramadan.

The campaign has been launched in line with the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility program which focuses on reinforcing the values of human compassion across all segments of society.

This year, the caravan sets off from the Jeddah’s Historical Area. A team of Panda management comprising Muwaffaq Mansour Jamal, CEO of Panda Retail Company and Hesham Mahmoud BaEissa, Public Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility Manager will distribute complimentary grocery coupons from Panda Chains (HyperPanda – Panda – Pandati) to underprivileged families.
Malak Muhammad BaEissa, Chief of Harat Asham and Al-Madhloom District at the Historical Area, Jeddah will also be participating in the in the campaign as well.

Jamal thanked all employees, staff members and suppliers who took part in the drive and contributed from their own personal finance for grocery coupons that were handed out to needy families. Through official charity organizations, the caravan will cover all regions and provide food supplies and consumer commodities in Ramadan to promote the values of charity and humanitarian work among all members of the public.

“This year the caravan has been launched to emphasize the policy adopted by the company to further promote the principles of social solidarity among all members of society. Ramadan is the time of giving and well that there is no better way to demonstrate this than to help impoverished families providing them with food supplies in this holy month,” said Jamal.

Harat Asham and Al-Madhloom District Chief thanked Panda Retail Company for their generous annual initiative in participating in the drive that has brought smiles to the faces of many a needy family. He hailed the company’s efforts in reinforcing the values of social solidarity and called upon others to follow in Panda’s footsteps.
