RIYADH — Minister of Transport Suleiman Bin Abdullah recently visited the headquarters of Arriyadh Development Authority and reviewed its various projects.
The minister's visit came in response to an invitation from Prince Faisal Bin Bandar, chairman of Arriyadh Development Authority.
The minister was received by Ibrahim Bin Mohammed Sultan, member of the High Commission for the Development of Arriyadh and president of the Projects and Planning Center.
The minister was briefed on ADA plans and programs, particularly the "strategic and comprehensive plan for the city of Riyadh", which will lead the future of urban development in all sectors of the city.
The minister reviewed features of the future development plan drawn for the city and development plans, programs and projects undertaken by the ADA in many vital sectors of the city.
The minister attended a visual presentation of the King Abdul Aziz Project for Public Transport in Riyadh city — the metro and buses, which aims to establish a sustainable transport system containing existing and expected movement requirements through the network of 176-km Riyadh Metro with six major tracks and 85 stations.
At the end of the visit, in a statement, the minister praised the fruitful bilateral partnership and cooperation between the ADA and the Ministry of Transport, stressing his keenness to enhance the coordination between the two bodies so as to contribute to the great endeavor to serve the city of Riyadh and to meet the needs of its citizens, residents and visitors.
