JEDDAH – Majlis-e-Ilm-o-Adab, Jeddah, organized an iftar party and Naatiyah program in which a large number of people participated enthusiastically at Al-Ruwais district.
The main attraction of this program was charming children who mesmerized the audience with their heart-warming Naats. Famous Pakistani poet Anwar Hussain, conducted the program and introduced Iftekhar Ahmad Siddiqui, an Indian pilgrim and social worker from Lucknow.
Anwar welcomed the honored guest and other participants. This spiritual gathering began with the recitation of the Holy Qur’an by Syed Muazzam. In the first session in their brief speeches Syed Amir Naqvi, Syed Imbesat, Faisal Shaikh and Zabihullah Khan shed light on the importance of the month of Ramadan and they reiterated on the fact that the fasting purifies the human soul.

Syed Mustafa:
Jub bhi gesu e Wallail bikhre barq ne yeh kaha badalon se
Jiltni zulf e Nabi hai ghaneri, abr utna ghanera nahin hai
Syed Hashim, Majidah Tashfeen, Wasilah Zainab, Muhammad Abdullah, Syed Mubashshir and Sobiya Nadeem recited a Naat in chorus:
Darbar e Nabi ke jalwon ki who barish e paiham kya kahiye
Wo subh ka manzar kya kahiye wo sham ka aalam kya kahiye
Iftekhar Ahmad Siddiqui said that the Ramadan in the land of Two Holy Harams is always memorable. Syed Faizan Ahmad proposed the vote of thanks.
