RIYADH — The Saudi air force intercepted a ballistic missile over the city of Abha in the Kingdom's southwest, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA). The Command of Coalition to Support Legitimacy in Yemen announced in a statement that Royal Saudi Air Defense Forces intercepted at 6:10 a.m. Monday a ballistic missile launched from Yemeni territories towards the city of Abha, without causing any damage. The coalition air forces immediately initiated action to destroy the missile-launching platform. The Command said that this is a continuation of the reckless acts being practiced by the Houthi militias and deposed Abdullah Saleh aiming to thwart international efforts to find a political solution to the situation in Yemen. The Coalition Command said it will confront firmly all these actions and at the same time it will continue to respect its commitments to the international community and the Yemeni people.
