ResizeRIYADH — Alwaleed Philanthropies, headed by Prince Alwaleed Bin Talal, announced on Sunday the graduation of Saudi female trainees from the Legal Eligibility Training through “Wa’iya” in partnership with Faisal Al-Taye Legal Firm.
The program, aimed at qualifying Saudi women who are keen to pursue a career in the field of law, was initiated on March 23. The trainees completed seminars conducted by professionals in the field. Fahad Al-Nasser, Faisal Al Taye and Nauf Alajmi participated in the lectures along with a group of experienced legal consultants. The topics varied from Saudi legal systems to their applications in various contexts. The seminars focused on Shariah Law, corporate legal procedures, criminal procedures, labor law, different types of market securities and execution, Capital Market Authority regulations, the judicial system, and various legal systems and protocols. Additionally, the lecturers explained the system of inheritance and personal status law, in relevance with topics such as divorce, separation and child custody.
“We are proud of what Wa’iya has accomplished in providing Saudi women with necessary skills. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate the ladies for their accomplishment. Women and youth empowerment is one of Alwaleed Philanthropies’ main focus areas, as we are trying to expand our work in particular for this segment of society,” said Princess Lamia, secretary-general of Alwaleed Philanthropies.
