By Mashari Al-Yazidi JEDDAH — A 25-year-old Saudi scholarship student has disappeared in Neckar River in the town of Neckargemund in Baden Wurttemberg State in Germany. According to the Saudi Embassy in Germany, the German police have launched a massive hunt in search of the missing student using divers and a helicopter. A police spokesman said the student disappeared while he was swimming after he went to the river on a camping picnic with five of his friends on Saturday. Saudi Ambassador Awwad Bin Saleh Al-Awwad went to the site where the student disappeared to follow up on the hunt for the missing and the progress of investigations. The embassy did not identify the student but said on its website that it received information about his disappearance from the German police. The embassy said the Saudi consulate in Frankfurt is in communication with the local authority on the case. It also said it could not determine the fate of the missing student before it receives confirmation from the police.
