Two die in floods

JAZAN — Two died and others were injured in various valleys in Jazan on Monday. Jazan Civil Defense spokesman Capt. Yahya Al-Qahtani said the Civil Defense hauled the dead body of a citizen from Sibya Valleys. The Civil Defense had also pulled a vehicle that had fell off a mountain slope in Al-Aidhabi. The accident resulted in the death of a man and injury to others. All incidents happened due to the unstable weather and heavy rain and floods, which befell the province. The Civil Defense had also evacuated 45 people to a safer location and has provided temporary residence to 10 families. Everyone who was evacuated is in good health. The Civil Defense had also prepared 19 apartments to serve as temporary residence in case of emergency evacuation. The people of the two villages Al-Zaidiyah and Al-Khuwaldiyah were evacuated after both villages were flooded due to their small size.
