TAIF — The Civil Defense has rescued a 17-year-old boy who fell 250 meters from a mountain in Taif. Rescue teams transported the injured victim by stretcher down the mountain to King Faisal Hospital. Police warned vacationers of the dangers of climbing mountains without appropriate safety equipment.

Notorious liquor
dealer arrested

JAZAN — Jazan police have arrested a Saudi man in his 30s. The suspect is considered one of the most notorious liquor dealers in the area. Police stormed the suspect's factory in Nekhelan village and arrested two African expatriates who were running the factory with the liquor dealer. Police also found six shotguns along with a large quantity of liquor ready for distribution. All three were taken to the police station for further investigation.

Girl injured in
Madinah fire

MADINAH — A young Yemeni girl suffered minor injuries when a food storage facility next to her home caught on fire. The girl suffered light burns and was rushed to the hospital for treatment. Teams from the civil defense arrived at the location and prevented the fire from spreading to the nearby residential building. The girl was released the same day from hospital. The cause of the fire is being ascertained.

Three injured
in car accident

ASIR — Three people were injured in Khamis Mushayt in Asir region when their car crashed into a well. Civil Defense teams arrived at the location with heavy equipment to extract the car and transferred the victims to a nearby hospital. According to the police, the driver lost control of his car and swerved to the side of the road, crashing into the well.
