Mina — Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman held at the Royal Court in Mina Palace on Tuesday the annual reception party for heads of state, senior Islamic dignitaries, guests of the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques, government invitees, heads of Haj delegations and pilgrims affairs offices.
Addressing the guests, pilgrims and Muslim brethren all over the world, the King said that Saudi Arabia firmly rejects any move to exploit this great ritual of Haj for political objectives or sectarian motives.
“Extremism is a detestable tendency as per Shariah. When it afflicts the Muslim Ummah it spoils its cohesion, future and image before the world.
There is no other way to eradicate this evil except by uprooting it with the unity of Muslims,” King Salman said.
“The conflicts, tragedies, discords, and bloodletting that the Muslim world is witnessing in some parts necessitate that we exert utmost efforts to unify our ranks and work together.
“The Kingdom confirms its constant keenness to unify the ranks of the Muslims, assist them and work to support all good efforts in the interest of Muslim countries.
“Islam is the religion of peace, justice, brotherhood, love, and kindness.
“The Kingdom is proud and honored to serve the Two Holy Mosques and their visitors. It is an honor that Allah has granted the Kingdom. Saudi Arabia has placed all its potential to serve the pilgrims,” King Salman said.
Welcoming the pilgrims to the Cradle of Revelation, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the King prayed to Allah to accept their pilgrimage and forgive their sins and that they safely return to their countries.
Those who attended the reception included Pakistani President Mamnoon Hussain, Sudanese Vice President Hassabu Mohamed Abdalrahman, Niger Prime Minister Brigi Rafini, Prime Minister and Minister of Defense of Jordan Hani Al-Mulki, former Malian prime minister Moussa Mara, Speaker of Turkish parliament Ismail Kahraman, Speaker of Malian National Assembly Isaga Sidibi, Speaker of Indonesian House of Representatives Al-Hajj Ade Komarudin, Speaker of Djiboutian House of Representatives Mohammed Ali Hamad, Speaker of Afghani Senate Fazal Hadi Muslim Yar, Speaker of Malaysian Senate Datuk Fighnswan, Speaker of Maldives Peoples Assembly Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed and others.
