Secret teams to tackle beggars

MADINAH — Madinah police are currently intensifying their efforts to crack down on beggars who have become very active with the return of pilgrims to Madinah. Secret teams were deployed to various locations around the Prophet’s Mosque to prevent beggars from harassing the pilgrims. Police officials said that most of those who are begging are in violation of residential law and are often professional beggars.
