By KMA Perera JEDDAH — Arrow Juice, a major sponsor, secured its first win in convincing fashion 68-56 against Afia in SAGCO Cup here. Dominated from the start, Arrow Juice’s tall player Avelino controlled the game with regular scoring and collecting most of the rebounds. Forward R. De Villa collected 25 points and adjudged the Player of the Game. But the weekend’s surprise was SAGCO B’s 82-78 win over Medina Transporter. The Transporter was in front till the 4th quarter and the home fans were in somber mood awaiting the obvious results. But SAGCO B made an astonishing comeback in the last few minutes, scoring 10 points in less than 3 minutes. Relentless effort by Bernard Magadia and Adornardo ensured its emphatic win. Bernard was named the Best Player. Elsewhere, Caravan won 82-63 against Delta Water. J. Alzona netted 18 points and was declared the Best Player. Salem Husni won 70-56 against BRC. A.
