“Traveling – it leaves you speechless, then turns you into a storyteller,” – Ibn Battuta once said. And it’s true. It can change people’s lives and more importantly, our perspective. Traveling is the only way to open up your mind and learn about things books can’t teach you. To wake up in an unknown town beginning to be explored, is one of the most thrilling joys in the world. Natural beauty tends to heighten your senses and magnify all human emotions. If you are ready for an unfamiliar excursion, read on.
Vienna
Best known as the city of music and romance. It is true. The dynamic city is the capital of Austria and lies in the country’s east on the Danube River. Vienna was home to some of the world’s greatest musicians and intellectuals- Mozart, Beethoven and Sigmund Freud. The landscapes are awe-inspiring; the city is also popular for Imperial palaces, including Schönbrunn. Visit the Museums Quartier district, with historic and contemporary buildings with works by Gustav Klimt, Egon Schiele and other artists. The museum for modern art has a permanent exhibition showcasing art of Andy Warhol, Pablo Picasso, Roy Liechtenstein and many more. Art plays a significant role even today and the youth is actively involved in developing the scene even further. Another great spot if you are looking for inspiration.
Jamaica
King of the Caribbean. Of course a few things are synonymous with this beauty, but the one that really stands out is Bob Marley. So by that definition, it spells love, music and peace. In recent times, Usain Bolt has earned a name for Jamaica and one that will remain to be a part of his history. Jamaica is a lavish pack of lush mountains filled with blue beaches, cascades, coral reefs, rainforests and mineral springs. Reggae was born here. Tourists mostly visit Doctor’s Cave Beach at Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Negril, and Port Antonio. Kingston, Jamaica’s capital has museums, interesting restaurants and historic sites. But remember it is all about the vibe. No matter what day it is, you are bound to have a good one.
