By Dr. Sayed Ziauddin JEDDAH — Amir Sajjad of Friends XI smashed a glorious century to take his team to a comfortable victory against Waqas Malik XI and APF downed MCC in SCC Premier League, sponsored by Saudi Cricket Centre (SCC) and organized by WPCA. APF defeated MCC by 4 wickets. MCC managed 154-6. Khawar Sohail hit 45, Zeeshan 49, Rashid 27 not out and Naeem 14. Siddique took 3-24. APF, in response, got to 154-6 in 105 balls. Ali Ansar made 23, Fouad Ali 13, Majed 20, Malik 33 and Omar 22. Hasnain cracked a quickfire 19. Malik Imad claimed 2-24 and Babar 2-47. Friends trounced Waqas Malik XI by 7 wickets. Waqas Malik XI posted 164-7. Skipper Waqas Malik stroked 33 as he added 53 with Rana Haroon (33) after struggling at 17-3. Rashid Malik top scored with 46 and Shahid 27. Zeeshan took 2-16. Friends XI, in chase, took 87 balls to reach 165-3. Amir Sajjad blasted ab unbeaten 101 in 47 balls studded with 9 sixes and 5 fours. He first added 33 with Umair (9), 90 with Anis Malik (14) and then 38 with Muzaffar(30). SCC Afternoon Cup Abid Ali of UCC, Aftab Malik of Al-Safri, Naveed Dadabhoy of Awesome Iklil and Hamid Khan of Royal Brothers dazzled in in SCC Afternoon Cup. Al-Safri XI prevailed over Royal Brothers by 34 runs. Al-Safri piled up 188-6. Rehan made 42 as he added 67 with Muneeb Anwar (24). Manjeet Kumar compiled 33 and Aftab Malik 39 as the two added 73 runs for the fourth wicket. Waseeq Sherwani scored 14. Abdullah Khan took 2-24 and Shoaib Khan 2-37. Royal Brothers, in reply, was stranded at 154-5. Abdullah Khan hit 37 and Hmaed Khan 64 in 54 balls as the duo added 69 runs for the opening stand. Aftab Malik was the pick of the bowlers with 3-16 and Waseeq Sherwani 2-26. Lothers thrashed Youth Cricket Club by 155 runs. Lothers opting to bat, amassed 214-5. Khurram Aziz made 15 and Adarsh 27. Yasir stroked 46 as he added 47 with Shamsuddin (22). Later Badushah top scored with 53 in 20 balls with 5 sixes and 2 fours. Badushah and Mushtaq (27) produced 55 runs. Usama grabbed 2-40. Youth Cricket Club was bundled out for 59. Pradeep and Safeer Ali recorded identical figures of 3-24 while Salah took 2-2. Hasan made 12. UCC humbled Natpet by 107 runs. UCC racked up 187-4. Raja Mudassar scored 17 and Irfan Ghulam 22, Shahnawaz Khan 33, Ali Raza 40 not out and Abid Ali 38 not out. Nadeem Shabbir grabbed 3-45. Natpet, in reply, crashed for just 80 as Abid Ali destroyed it with 5-19, while Yasir grabbed 2-15. Rizwan stroked 20 and Waseem 19. Zultrack edged past Marine Services by 3 wickeys on the last ball. Marine Services posted 142-6. Naseer hit 46, Sohail 22, Rafiullah 17 and Yaseen 28 not out. Zeeshan took 2-18 and Yousuf 2-29. Zultrack, in reply, won comfortably by making 143-7. Mohsin stroked 22, Raheel 24, Qayam Khan 24, Yasir 29 not out and Zeeshan 14 not out. Sameer took 2-14 and Rafi 2-33. Awesome Iklil crushed Gujarat Eagles by 9 wickets. Gujarat Eagles was bowled out for 101. Waqas made 16 and Muhammad Rashid 18. Naveed Dadabhoy emerged as the chief tormentor with 4-22. Awesome Iklil reached 104-1 in 62 balls to win by 9 wickets. Ahmed was the top scorer with an unbeaten 50 off 30 balls, Ghulam also remained unbeaten on 24 and Asad hit 20.
