JEDDAH — Jeddah Sports Club (JSC) Soccer Academy has launched its annual in-house tournament during a vibrant interaction meeting between parents of the trainees and JSC coaches and officials at a local restaurant here recently. The 4-week-long tournament for the trainees and parents is powered by Mobil 1. The parents’ meeting was very productive as they came up with valuable suggestions, comments and queries. The coaches and officials took it seriously and also gave very satisfying answers. Later, chief coach Saleem announced the captains for the Team JSC and in-house teams. Afnan Ashraf and Salman Safar have been nominated as the Team JSC captain and vice captain, respectively. The in-house tournament will be held in four sections as Under-17, Under-12, Under-9 and parents. The captains are: Under-17 — Mohammed Ali (JSC Real Madrid), Nabhan Noushad (JSC Juventus), Anas Khanooni (JSC Barcelona) and Mazen Saleem (JSC Chelsea). Uunder-12 — Farzin, Azim and Salman. Under-9 — Eshan, Hadi and Muaz. Parents — Ashfaq, Askar, Hisham and Junaise. Jotun Paints, which has been promoting sports events under its Corporate Social Responsibility program, lent its support to JSC too. Shygil Moideen, finance director of Jotun, distributed kits for all the trainees of JSC. JSC, which is gaining momentum and importance in soccer training for expatriates in Jeddah, came up with its official website and Dr. Zafarullah of Al-Abeer Medical Center clicked the site on. JSC also released the in-house tournament fixture as Fayas Ibrahim handed a copy of the schedule to Saudi Gazette Sports Editor K.O. Paulson. — SG
