Occupying two towers, Assila Hotel consists of 147 deluxe, superior deluxe and executive rooms, 63 sumptuous suites culminating in the opulent magnificence of the Royal Suite, and 94 fully-serviced residential suites.

Created and run by Sir Rocco Forte and his family, Assila Hotel embodies four generations of hospitality. Each member plays a role in the creation of the hotels and the expertise and care of the family can be felt throughout the Rocco Forte Hotels experience. Now, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the two great families of Al Issa and Forte unite to present Arabian and European values of hospitality in a natural, warm hearted ambience.

Assila Hotel is designed by Sir Rocco Forte’s sister Olga Polizzi, who is director of design at Rocco Forte Hotels. Polizzi has worked closely with Martin Brudnizki, a world renowned designer of major institutions across Europe and the US. Each of the ten Rocco Forte hotels across Europe are different, all inspired by their location, such as the Roman flavors of Hotel de Russie or the elegant simplicity of The Charles Hotel in Munich. Reflecting the spirit and life of Jeddah, the Assila houses 2,000 pieces of artwork created by Saudi artists.

For food lovers Assila Hotel currently offers fine dining at the Twenty Four restaurant and delicious homemade Italian patisseries, ice creams and cakes at Il Caffé coffee lounge, both open 24 hours daily. Traditional Arabic mezze are served Al fresco on the terrace overlooking Tahlia Street.

Commenting on the opening, General Manager Frank Heller said: “We are proud to be the first Rocco Forte hotel in Saudi Arabia and my team and I look forward to welcoming travelers and guests to Assila Hotel where they will enjoy the unrivalled individual service excellence that has won the hearts of guests worldwide.” — SG
